This month at work, we’re celebrating Pinktober, a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness. Everywhere you look, there’s a soft pop of pink, a reminder of strength, femininity, and community.
So, when I got home still feeling all glowy and girly from my pink outfit, I decided to keep the femininity going… with a Lychee Martini.
This cocktail is as pretty as it is delicious — light, floral, and a little flirty. The best part? It’s super easy to make at home!
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 oz vodka
1 oz lychee juice (or syrup from canned lychees)
½ oz Cointreau (because we’re bougie😌)
Ice cubes
A few lychees for garnish
How to make it:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add your vodka, lychee juice, and Cointreau.
Shake, shake, shake until it’s nice and chilled.
Strain into a martini glass.
Garnish with a lychee on a cute little skewer or pop it in the glass
The result? A sweet, elegant drink that looks like it was made for Pinktober. It’s soft, feminine, and just a little indulgent — the perfect way to unwind while honoring a cause that’s so close to many hearts. 💗
But before you sip and relax, take a moment to show yourself a little love too. 💞
Breast self-examinations are a quick, simple way to check in with your body. Set a reminder to do it once a month — ideally a few days after your period ends — and get familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel. Early detection truly saves lives, and a few minutes of self-care can make a lifetime of difference.

💗 Self-Check aka Feel Up Yuh Breast: How to Do a Breast Self-Exam 💗
Step 1: Look — Stand in front of a mirror with your shoulders straight and arms on your hips. Check for changes in size, shape, or color.
Step 2: Lift — Raise your arms and look for the same changes.
Step 3: Feel — While lying down, use your fingertips to feel all parts of the breast in circular motions, from your collarbone to your armpit and down to the top of your abdomen.
Step 4: Stand or Shower — Repeat the feeling step while standing (many people find it easier in the shower).
If you notice any lumps, thickening, or unusual changes, don’t panic — but do contact your doctor for a check-up. 💕
Here’s to strong women, pink vibes, and pretty cocktails!
