As an adult, we’re always looking for a way to save an extra buck. As an adult who had braces every meal after getting your teeth tightened counts. You can end up spending so much on meals especially if you don’t have good time management.

So that’ll be breakfast at Juici Patties, lunch from a place your company orders food from, and if it’s that bad dinner from a fast food place. So why not start the day off right with something quick healthy and cost-effective?

Once a month I'd get my o-wires changed and for that week my teeth hurt just to put them together so I’d be on a soft food diet. That means a patty and O.J is not an option for breakfast. Will I just starve then? I think not. For this dreaded week of the month while I strive to not starve I’ll share with you my five go-to breakfast smoothies for the week.

Monday’s are the worst I know.

So nobody wants to wake up a minute earlier to prep fruits for breakfast. So my go-to smoothie is “Ensure Oats “.

Ingredients: 1 cup oats, 2 whole bananas, 1 bottle of Ensure, 1.5 cups of ice, a lil flaxseed and cinnamon if I’m feeling fancy

Put all that in your blender while you comb your hair and boom! Breakfast is served! Of course, you can add your peanuts or whatever else you’d like but I like to keep it simple but still yummy

Tuesday I’m feeling Very Berry so I take a cup of my frozen strawberries (or just a decent chunk cause it’s frozen together from being in the freezer) I then add my frozen bananas, and collagen powder because who doesn't want beautiful skin. According to EveryDay Health Collagen not only helps smoothen skin and boosts elasticity but aids in gut, joint, and heart health; add some protein powder to let that smoothie pack a punch, get some ice, and almond milk or any milk but I and cow milk aren't really friends. Press start and Tuesday morning has started on the right note.

Where my coffee people at?! Can I get a woot woot (in the comments). Coffee can do no wrong. Coffee ice cream, coffee cake, coffee candy coffee brownies, and definitely this coffee smoothie!

Get your coffee ice cubes, frozen banana, protein and collagen powder, a little Milo, and boom! You’ve started your Wednesday off on a high, a creamy soothing caffeinated high trust me you need to try this and thank me later!

“Mi nuh drink coffee tea mango time...” sings in my best Miss Lou Jamaican Folk voice. Well we know that’s a lie because I had a coffee smoothie yesterday but it’s a great idea to utilize whatever fresh ingredients are in season and mango is in so mango will be in my smoothie. For Thursday I present to you the "Sunshine Shake".

A cup of mangoes, half a cup of carrots, pineapple, a little piece of turmeric, and a little piece of ginger. Blend that all up and my immune system just got a blast of goodness. Healthline says that Tumeric and ginger are great for reducing inflammation, boost your immune system, and can reduce nausea.

Fri-Yays are literally designated “Fast food for lunch days” but that doesn’t mean you gotta start the day off bad. Put some kale, you could use spinach but in my opinion, spinach makes the smoothie taste like wet dirt, a kiwi cause I had one deggeh deggeh (single) one left, don’t forget the collagen powder for nice nails and hair, a frozen banana, some frozen pineapples with a little pineapple juice and we’ve cleansed or system for that juicy fatty burger we’ll have later guilt-free.

Let me know which one you think tastes the best and let me know your go to mix in the comments below!
