I’ve always wanted to go to Steakhouse on the Veranda to try their steaks, but I guess I wasn’t motivated enough but when I saw their two for one Lobster deal, I quickly dragged on my good clothes and my designated plus one to go.

From passing I’d always love the look of the restaurant it was giving tropical veranda but elevated nestled by the banana trees in the courtyard of Devon House. The cool night air added to the ambiance, and I was hoping it would rain to really set the mood, but it didn’t despite natures touch it was still an intimate setting for date night.

Our choices of lobster were a Callaloo Cream Thermidor, Grilled, Fried or Lobster Pasta. We shared some fries which were really good coated with spices while we waited for our orders. And you tell me now ! Why did this man insist on getting the same thing as me ? We both got the Lobster in Callaloo Thermidor served with sauced veggies and mashed potatoes. Ten out of Ten easily. Paired with our drink of Monkey Shoulder Scotch and 19 Crimes Wine the juicy and creamy lobster left us properly satisfied and filled with the serving size.

The place was properly patronized, the deal definitely brought out a crowd of birthday celebrations, date nights, girls' night and even a mom and son duo which was great to see and service didn’t stall, it wasn’t anything spectacular but given the number of tables we weren’t left waiting long at all.

Our bill came up to around little over 14k, 7600 for our two lobster meals and the rest was drinks, fries the government money and service charge.

It was a night well spent and definitely would go again.

Have you been ? Let me know if you would or what was your experience…
