Someone needs to explain to me where the summer is running to so fast!? I made all these grand plans to have a great summer and share with you guys, but I woke up one day and we're at the start of August and I hadn't done anything all of July... well except for the camping trip which you can go check out.

My friend's birthday was Friday so desperately, we rounded up our little group to put on some good clothes, celebrate him and have a night out on the town.

Of course, no night out or birthday celebration can truly start without food, so we headed to Fusion Multicultural Cuisine for dinner.

Stop 1: Fusion Multicultural Cuisine

I was late and had to have my order placed on the way, but I was disappointed they didn't have the oxtail sushi which seemed very interesting. This is actually my second time in the space of weeks coming here and they didn't have it the other time either.

From the second we walked in, Fusion had that intimate Miami restaurant vibe. The lighting was warm, the music was pop (in my opinion it could've been way better), and I could already feel my stomach doing a little happy dance in anticipation.

The waiter brought out the cocktails which I didn't have one in anticipation of more drinking later at the party. But my friends said their drinks were not just visually appealing but tasted great as well. The time before I had a Lavendar Spritz and it was delectable.

I must say I love the presentation of the food; it showed effort all around. From the city vibes decor of the space to the serving ware. The Shrimp Pastas, Fries, Nairobi Wings, Shrimp Ceviche Tacos and Island Dahl were thoroughly enjoyed and filled us up pleasantly for part 2 of our night.

Service? 8/10. I didn't interact much with the servers, but they were respectable and on point, where I deducted points where they didn't seem to be advised it was for a birthday celebration despite being told at the reservation.

Stop 2: Fri-nally the Party 🎉

Now listen… Fusion filled the belly, but Fri-nally fed my summer fun craving. The theme was Hot Girl Summer and there were times the DJ obviously forgot but the crowd did enjoy the bad man turn up. In my opinion for a 4-hour event the DJs took far too long to start dropping the bangers the first hour felt like a throwback party but we did enjoy it nonetheless.

They got a good turnout but the crowd was definitely mostly profilers despite their motive my little crew came out to vibe, bubble and give ourselves a great night out so that we did.

Drinks were flowing Appleton Signature Blend and Cranberry Juice definitely a great mix to help us vibe to the DJs mix.

Final Belly Verdict:

Fusion Multi Cuisine → 8/10 would eat again. Perfect for starting the night strong and making sure you don’t end up drinking on an empty stomach like an amateur.

Fri-nally the Party → A good Friday night vibe. Go for the music, stay for the random MC commentary and remember it's always the vibe of your crew that makes any party nice.

💡 Summer Belly Tip: Always eat before the turn-up. Belly Full + Liquor+ Music & Dancing = the perfect night out. And don’t worry about the calories — summer nights are for memories, not macros.
